I dyed some parts of my hair blonde about 3 months ago and am looking to dye it back to brown. Is it possible to just simply buy a brown hair dye kit, or am i meant to strip the colour or anything first?

Go to a professional. Dying blond hair can be tricky. You don't want to have messed up hair.

yes,you can dye your hair .But before you dye your hair go to Walmart in hair care aisle where they sell dyes on the right side of the aisle on the second shelf should be a thing called dye remover it can strip your hair and go back to the color you had before you dye it that way you can dye over it and get the color you want. So you need to purchase to things the dye remover and the color of brown hair color that you want your hair to look like.Follow the directions on the box and everything should turn out allright .

P.s. . Also do not dye over the color because it will make it look muddy and murky and it will be too dark and it might not turn out the color and the way you want it to and than in the end result you might want to dye it again.

Personally I think you should just it brown without stripping it. If you bought the dye for the blonde at just a store and did it yourself it wont be as strong as a beautician's so that means it is safe after three months to redye or whatever.

since ur hair is blonde now it would be ok to do dark brown cuz its darker than blonde. my hair is black right now and over winter break i'm gunna strip it and die it blonde. if ur hair is dark, and u want to turn it light, you must strip it first,,,,i learned that the hard way. if ur hair is light and want to go dark, its fine. so go with the brown hair dye and if it doesnt come out how u like it then get it stripped.

I would be careful, the blonde parts of your hair will grab the brown dye and make it look darker. I would pick 1 shade lighter then your normal hair color.
It might be worth it to have it done in a salon, if you have the money.
good luck

I dye my hair blonde all the time and when dying it back to a darker color you must put a red rinse in first so that your hair don't turn a different color

if you have blonde hair this will naturally get bleached by the actual sun in the summer. There had been this guy in my class who had golden blonde hair that had been a medium brown near the bottom. When he came back to university after summer vacation, it was practically platinum blonde!

Jet black hair. I have really dark brown hair and I consider dark hair looks better. I may really like blonde hair.
