Okay...I had a very bad day at school today. It seems that everything went wrong.
First of all, I must tell you that I never procrastinate. I always start things and study way before they are due. So today, my English teacher says I have a vocabulary test Thursday and my social studies teacher says I have a major unit test Friday. I would have studied over the weekend, but I didn't know.
Also, I have a lab for science due Wednesday which we just got today. During this lab, everything seemed to go wrong. My whole group was held up because one memember could not correctly answer a question a teacher asked her, and it took her about 20 minutes to get it right. We really rushed through it all, and I doubt it was very accurate.
I am now doing my five hours of homework. I am sooo stressed, and I haven't any idea what to do. I can hardly do my work! Please help me. What can I do (besides not doing it) to help me relieve all the stress?

First of all, my apologies. I know what this can be like. I'm always the more active of the two lab partners, and the like.
It's hard, I know. Sometimes you do everything right, and **** HAPPENS. Sometimes all you can do is get everything done and hope for the best.
Although, that's not great advice. Try these stress relief techniques:
-Draw a picture of dog ****, put the word "Happens" under it, and set it on fire.
-Listen to your favorite music, CD, Song, Artist, etc.
-TALK TO YOUR TEACHERS! Even at the highschool level teachers can be more than empathetic, ESPECIALLY, in your case, if you're a good student.
If none of those work, and you need someone to walk to, try me at d d a y g a m e s [at] g m a i l . c o m

Take it one day at a time and one project at a time. You can only do as best as what you have to work with. If your time is limited for the tasks at hand, then you are expected to only do so well, when compared to having sufficient time on your hands. Having the best marks in class is a great acheivement to strive for, but does not neccessarily make for a better person. Work within yourself. If you raise your expectations to a level beyond your means, you'll only end up disappointed and make for a miserable Christmas. If you enter this week knowing that you did the best you can, believe that you gave it 100% of your effort, then the outcome should not matter and the holiday season will be that much more enjoyable.

It sounds like you need a 'mental health day'. My parents allow me one mental health day to relax, take a bubble bath, study for a test, examine what I need to do and how I can decrease the work. If I were you I would take Wednesday off (checking if there is a lab you might miss) to study for the tests, and write the lab. Only do that once a semester though and if it gets too much talk to your parents, they might have some ideas to help you, or get a study group with friends to do homework.

Break it down into portions you can handle. I know you want to stay ahead, but your best bet is to figure out which is the most critical thing to be done and do that first. Then work on the item due Wednesday, etc. That way, if you can't get everything done, you will get what is critical.
For me, I get stressed out too, but that's how I have to do my college classes.

You should really talk to a guidance counselor or a teacher at school you trust. Tell them how much stress you have been under and I'm sure they will be more than happy to help you out.

if you know your not going to miss anything important at school, maybe miss a day and catch up on homework or tell your parents you have a headache and would like to go to school in the afternoon..
