If your hair is so dry that other people are noticing, either they're interested in making you insecure, or you might have a health problem.
Had your thyroid levels checked lately?
I used to use a brand that has been discontinued. Pantene has taken over. I would stick with Pantene, but try a different type. Make sure you use moisturizing conditioners, or those for frizzy hair or dry hair.
Dove has some good, heavy duty moisturizing conditioners, too.
You could also try an additional product, like a finishing creme. I use one from John Frieda.
On some occasions, I use Burt's Bees products.

Use hot oil for hair. or cheaper use mayonnaise. Sounds gross but really does a good job for dry hair

Try Redken All-Soft shampoo and conditioner. Ever since I started using it, my stylist always comments on how soft and healthy my hair is... that never used to happen.

try using some kind of oil treatment, just to bring moisture into it. VO5 has one that is inexpensive and easy to use.
