Satan is the Christian embodiment of evil. >.o No one wants to worship him because believing he exists means you follow Christo-Judaism, in which case there's a bigger god with more benefits.
In any case, many Christians seem to like to toss the name "Satan" around, particularly onto people of all other religions.

Well, many people don't acknowledge the existence of Satan; this includes non-Christians.
However, the Zoroastrian tradition, which was a big influence on Christianity, recognized two gods: one good and one evil. This duality in Deities got transferred over to the Abrahamic faith, with God replacing Ahura Mazda, and Satan replacing Angra Mainyu. You should do some research on the history of Judaism and Christianity to discover the role of Satan in those religions for a better answer.

People don't accept Satan as a god because as Carmen said before, he himself was created by God. That doesn't make him very important. And people do know that God can kill Satan in an instant, and the question is why doesn't he do it if Satan is so bad? Free will. He wants us to have the choice. You chose to follow Satan, okay...but it doesn't mean you're following a god because there is only the Triune God.

Satan got the boot out of Heaven along with 1/3 of the angels. He stood up to God but he didn't last too long and eventually he will be gone forever. Besides Satan is a liar and a thief, he is not my type of God. He is incapable of loving you or anybody, but himself.

Read your bible. In Genesis, it is written that G-D created ALL things. It also states that he created the angels, and everything else. G-D specifically allowed Satan to take 1/3 of the angels that wanted to go. Of course, the bible does also state that G-D cast Satan out of heaven like a bolt of lightning too. FYI: G-D originally created the angel "Lucifer" i.e. Satan to be G-D's chief musician in heaven. So the answer is "NO", Satan is not a "god".

Satan the Devil is a god. The definition of god is a supreme being. BUT!!!!, there is only ONE true god! (if you have a bible please read Psalms 83:18, it is critical)
But wouldnt you think that the other 2/3 of angels had an EVEN BETTER reason of staying???
"God" is a descriptive name just like "Doctor" or "Judge" is. Let me put it to you this way:
If you were standing in a room full of Doctors and you say "Doctor, I have a Question!" ALL OF THE DOCTORS WOULD TURN AROUND AND LOOK AT YOU! But if you say "Doctor Smith, I have a Question" you would get one doctors attention!
Do you get what i am saying. There is are many gods but one true god! And for him to know you actaully are praying to him you must use his name, instead of just saying 'God'. The Bible actaully names him. Translators have taken that name out of the Bible in fear of "misprouncing it" and replaced it with (capital) L-O-R-D. But his name was orininally in hebrew as "YHWH". In English that is pronounced "jehovah". that is way many people say "hallelujah" which means 'Praise Jah (a short version of Jehovah.)!' So where ever you see (capital) LORD, instead of Lord or God in the bible it is reffering to gods ACTAUL name.
I hope i shed some light on this for you.....just read Psalms 83:18.

Satan was'nt strong enough to take 1/3 of the angels with him. God threw them out. He wa an angel. Not a God. And just standing up to God doesnt make you a God in return. It just shows you're defiant and stupid.

Not wanting to get into a long complex 10 page long story of why Satan is no where close to God....
Basically Satan was brought into Heaven to be one of God's Angels and rebelled and was kicked out of Heaven by God into the depths of Hell where he brought a few angels with him.
a/k/a God WON and kicked Satan out....therefore God is the one and only almighty.
Also.. God made Satan, no one is more powerful than their own creator.

People don't accept Satan as god because Satan will only give them eternal suffering, pain and hell... God promises heaven, and eterna happiness. If Satan could come up with something good for everyone, I'm sure lots of people will support Satan.

Because they prefer being on the winning, most powerful side. So if Jim Jones managed to convince over 900 people to kill themselves, I'm curious to know what you think that makes him. Being deceitful and persuasive doesn't make someone God. Besides, the creation is never greater than the Creator.
