I had a crush on a guy, I told him, and he started acting weird. He said that stuff like this doesn't happen to him. He doesn't even call me any more. But he said I was hot. We were old friends that ended up seeing each other again. Our first reunion meeting was wonderful, his attraction was very strong. I don't know what happened.

I can think of a lot of guys that I think are hot but wouldn't want to date (not just because they are jerks, just wouldn't work). If you guys were good friends before you might have just caught him off guard. Has he been in a significant relationship before?? It kind of sounds like he's scared. You made your move, just give him time to see if he makes the next one.

It sounds like you caught him off-guard. Even though it's the 21st Century, I think a lot of guys still aren't used to being approached by women! Keep in mind that men are visual creatures, so they can find someone attractive but not want to date them (think of all the hot guys you see on TV or in movies). Just continue to be his friend, and let nature take it's course, whatever that may be.

Guys can feel overwhelmed ( which based on the fact that the penis does all the real thinking is easy to imagine) Take Beyonce or Britney Most guys look but feel they could never match up. Maybe if you tone down a bit , let him know you can be had and could be his.

Yes, a guy can think you're hot but not want to date you. He could be in a relationship, with another person that he thinks is hotter than you. He could be gay. There are lots of reasons.

It's totally possible to think someone is hot but not want to date them. Could be that you're just too good of friends, could be a personallity conflict, maybe she's your boss, etc.

Maybe it doesn't have a lot to do with ur looks and it's ur personality. He probably thinks ur not the tyoe of gf he wants or because of ur two diff lifestyles he doesn't think the two of u will work well together.
