I wear my engagement ring first (first against the knuckle) then my wedding band second. My theory is technically you receive the engagement ring first, then once you receive the wedding band well, that kinda locks the engagement in place. It's sacred then, engagement ring then should never fall out.

No, it's the opposite. The wedding band is closest to the palm of your hand because then it is closer to your heart. Prior to walking down the aisle, move your engagement ring to the "ring finger" on your right hand. Once the wedding band is in place, move your engagement ring back over to complete the set.

I have a huge engagement ring and my wedding band is almost hidden by my engagement ring but however the wedding band always goes close to your heart.

I wear my wedding band on the bottom and engagement ring on top. That's the way I have always worn them.

The wedding band is worn on the inside, that way the wedding ring is closer to your heart.

Traditionally, the wedding band goes closer to the heart. You're no longer engaged.
