I feel despondant trying internet dating cites with no success, even the FREE ones eg "plenty of fish.com " is 100% free but have had no luck even with a real photo of myself.

WHAT DOES EVERYONE ELSE THINK?????

That's where I found my now boyfriend. I was on there for just 2 weeks it got to be overwhelming with so many responses (felt like almost a full time job) and It almost scared me away. However during that 2 week period I caught my angel fish he took my bait and he told me to reel him fast because he wanted to jump in my net as fast as he could LOLOLOL...He's a keeper.....LOL.. anyway after 1 date he told me to delete my profile off the site because he wanted to have a long term loving relationship with me BLAH BLAH BLAH.... The relationship is moving a little fast for me, because I am a believer in love takes time to grow and build but so far it seems to be all good. Time will tell me more. Ask me this question again in a few month or so and I will tell you if it was really worth it.

I have a success story for you. I met my boyfriend of 2 1/2 years on a dating site. Funny thing was that we knew eachother from when we were teenagers. Meeting him again was the best thing that ever happened to me. Just make sure you are honest w/ ppl and try to screen them.

well i met my current bf from a dating site.

still together after 18mths and bought a place together .

hasnt been bliss the entire time (like most relationships) but i think hes the one.

at least on internet sites you have some chance of seeking out the weirdos before meeting them. its nice that if you do feel uneasy about someone - you can just block them!

good luck- im sure you will find someone.

I know of a success story but they didnt meet on a Dating Site......
They were in a site for people with iguanas and iguana fans and discussing breeding, taking care of them...etc
Long story short:
They've been married for 4 years now.

The best way to get to know someone and fall in love with them is to go out into the big wide world and find them, sometimes its just luck, sometimes you have to look for them. why not try speed dating, or starting a hobbie to get to know people interested in the same things as you, everyone has a special someone, you'll find them one day.

I have a friend that found his wife on Eharmony. I told him he should be an eHarmony spokesman in their commercials. The only success story i've ever heard. He was 26 when they met.

i met my hubby on yahoo chat,in 1999,been together since ,got married in 2004,2 kids,

best desicion i ever made was to go and meet him

i sent him a pic of my blonde haired cousin(ooppss) then had to tell him the night b4 we met, that it wasnt me..well i never expected to hit it off with anyone,so didnt see the harm in sending a fake pic,how wrong i was..lol

the savage garden song"i knew i loved you before i met you"also played at our wedding,
was an apt song

think the more you try and find love, the harder it becomes..
good luck
