That is a question for God. But i think it is a cleaning method and because humans shower we really don't need to clean ourselves by licking. Also i think we have a little more of an ego than dogs. And if we licked ourselves that would be nasty.

Hi Peace, Because we take a shower to clean ourselves. A dog licks is away of cleaning,and healing a hurt area.

We don't lick ourselves like dogs because it is not viewed as "acceptable behavior" in our society. It can be very easy to get sick if we lick body parts that have bacteria. A dog is generally more tolerant to the bacteria they ingest because their immune systems have developed according to their behavior.

Because we have been gifted with the luxuries such as a shower and toilet paper. We don't need to lick ourselves.

Prez say we dont lick ourselves because we have other people to lick us. Prez say that dogs use their tongue to clean themselves and people use the shower, water and soap to clean ourselves. Prez say human saliva is not exactly a cleaning agent. Prez better know

We come into contact with many more germs in our daily lives. Plus its just not sanitary. Who knows, maybe thats the next cure for cancer!

maybe because we have fingers and thumbs to hold soap and flannels and turn taps on and off cant really imagine a dog doing that
