God was tricking Eve. Read the story carefully and you will read that God only told Adam to not eat from the tree. Not once is it mentioned that Eve should not eat it. Yet everyone blames the fall of man on poor Eve.
It's all hogwash to me.

watching God gave them free will for a reason they could of cast of the serpent and held fast to their faith which would of made God eternally happy or the could cast all of us into sin...
As for the idiot who said God only told Adam and was trying to trick Eve remember that God tries no man. Also nothing is written that Adam couldn't tell Eve no doubt being that he lived longer he was probably responsible for teaching her all things. And EVE knew not to touch it!

I think it's possible that the Adam and Eve story is more of a parable...that is, a story told to teach a lesson...it is, after all, the Lord's "m.o."

God was still watching over them, but God had given them a mind to chose what they wanted to do, after He told them not to touch the fruit from the forbidden tree!

Honoring the gift of "free will" that He gave to Adam and Eve. Oh, and just in case you were wondering... I think He knew!

He was just awatchin' and awaitin' to see if Adam would listen to what He had told him or be influence by someone else. Adam was the head of the woman and God had given him the instructions, it was up to him to obey.
