wasn't stoned to death? wasn't that the custom back then. The best excuse she could come up with is an god made her pregnant. What would you do if your wife, whom you never slept with told you she was pregnant? Would you believe god did it?

The reason Mary wasn't stoned to death is because Joseph was a man of compassion and chose to hide her and not make the pregnancy public. This is recorded in the book of Matthew.

Joseph's first inclination was not to believe her, the Bible records that he thought of severing the relationship in a private manner. However, during a dream the angel Gabriel appeared and confirmed Mary's story.

I may not believe my wife up front, but if an angel appeared to confirm the truth, I would think I'd have enough sense to become a believer.

She wasn't stoned to death because Gabriel appeared to Joseph in a dream and explained to him that what Mary was telling him was the truth. Therefore, he married her. Your women may need to excuse that "God made them pregnant," but Mary was telling the truth.

She wasn't stoned to death because that was not part of the prophecy. Don't u think that the fact that she DIDN'T get stoned to death proves that God WAS protecting her?

Joseph could have done that to her but he loved her too much..plus God's angel visited and told him about Mary.

Well I guess that's why they made Joseph a saint.

Imagine how he felt as she ascended to heaven. He must have been quite a guy to put up with that. Of course he did visit his sister in law Elizabeth a lot I hear...

Joseph didnt believe it either until an angel came to him too..... in such a case I think any of us might believe it. Except the hardcore non believers.

If she told me God did it, then I would believe her. That's what faith means.
