Yes, refrigerate them. It's safe to assume that anything jarred should be refrigerated after opening.

It really is a good idea to refirgerate them, they will last a lot longer. If you like the pickled ones, you should give fresh ones a try. You can use them in the same way, but it is a more (very spicy) "bell pepper" taste. They keep well in the fridge. You can control the "hotness" by removing the seeds, which contain the capsacin that makes the pepper hot. Less seeds, less heat. They are also said to raise your endorphins. Hope that's not TMI.

If they came in a jar, in liquid, I would keep them in the refrigerator. We have sliced jalapen~os and they're in the fridge. I imagine if they're in liquid, that would mean you would have to keep them in the fridge, like with pickles.

If you just have whole jalapeno peppers (dry) you should probably keep them in the fridge too, to stop them from ripening. You could keep them out if you wanted, but they would over-ripen and go bad faster.

I keep bell peppers in a plastic basket type container in the fridge. You can store them the same way. They keep very well. In the middle somewhere but not at the bottom or where it is too cold.

You can refrigerate them but since they are pickled it is not necessary.
