You can't lose 60 pounds healthily before March, and probably not at all. In addition to that, if you were able to, then your dress would have to be altered again. You need to think about that...dress alterations take awhile, and you don't want to have to have it done more than once. It's not good for the dress and what if the dress isn't done in time for the wedding?! eeeek!

Have you tried a cleanse? I've been trying exercise only for about 4 months and I only dropped 7 lbs. But with cleaning and exercising I lost 22 lbs in a month. I tried a 9 day cleanse. I'm going to do it again next month. My doctor recommended it to me for my weight loss. With a good cleanse you can lose up to 10 lbs in 9 days. And it's not just water weight. Just cleanse, eat healthy and exercise at least 1 hour 3 times a week. Even if it's just walking around the mall or the track. I'm now on month 2 and I've lost a total of 35lbs and 73 inches. Good luck.

Big thing - you do not want to loose weight fast. All that means is that you are loosing water weight, which in the long run will mean you will gain more weight and be unhealthy. You should shoot for between 5 and 10 pounds per month. The simple things to do would be cut back on your calorie intake, no complex carbs. before bed, try to limit your intake of fluids other than water, and try to get at least 30-45 minutes of cardio 3-4 times per week. The way to loose weight is to burn more calories than you are taking in. Good luck!

It is not healthy to lose 60 pounds in 3 months. Three pounds per week is generally considered the healthy limit for weight loss per week. That would mean you can lose about 36 pounds safely before the wedding.

Since it's not your wedding, I suggest that's what you shoot for.

If I can give any advice it would be get a personal trainer, see a nutritionist and have them advise you on how to work *towards* your goal in a healthy fashion.

I myself am currently running a three month project (see http://www.followmyfitness.com ) and I have the assistance of a personal trainer, nutritionist and a GP (just for safetys sake).

A personal trainer can provide a structured program for the gym that will allow you to work the particular parts of your body for your specific goal, the nutritionist can work with the personal trainer on a nutrition plan and the GP can ensure that you have no medical issues (now or during the program) that could cause issue.

Good luck with your goal and keep us posted on your progress (see the forums on my site).
Regards
Stuart

Cut 500 calories from your current diet. Drink plenty of water. Try workout videos like Tae-Bo and Budokon. Good luck! Try not to overdo it!
