Hell, like heaven, is a SPIRITUAL place. It doesn't do any good at all to try to think of it in PHYSICAL terms (like location).

It is one of two places as described by scripture: Outer darkness, Matthew 8:12, where some believe it is the "black holes" in space that are enlarging and are too hot to talk about or it is a place outside of God in a literal burning place. Since God's throne is in the North, and even compasses are gauged by true North, one can only assume that Hell is in the sides of the north of the universe if you take what Isaiah 14 says as literal.

As far as I know, nobody knows. It may exist outside of the "known" universe, but at least in our universe, there is no South, North, West or East. Those directions only exist within earth's 2-dimensional geographical maps. The bible speaks of a great chasm (separation) between paradise (not Heaven) and Hades that could not be crossed. My belief, for what its worth, is that Heaven IS within our universe, but it is so ridiculously far away that man will not even develop the technology to get a visual glimpse of it before Armageddon takes place. I also believe that it is a planet, like Earth in many ways, but uncorruptable. The chasm between paradise and Hades mentioned in the Bible is probably empty space, much like that between Earth and the moon. But I assume you don't get acces to space shuttles when you're in either place.

Hell is a state of mind, similar to New Jersey. And I assume, if there is a god and god is doing the judging, it'll judge other mammals besides primates, and other animals besides mammals. However, how much sinning can a planrian worm do, realistically?
A retiring pChem (Physical Chemistry) professor was composing his last exam for a graduate course in statistical thermodynamics. Being a bit bored, and with a well kept and wry sense of humor, he set a single question on the sheet:
"Is Hell endothermic or exothermic? Support your answer with a proof."
He had little idea what to expect, or how to grade the results, but decided to reward any student who was able to come up with a reasonable and consistent reply to this query.
One "A" was awarded.
Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law or some variant. The top student, however, wrote the following:
"First, we postulate that if souls exist, then they must have some mass. If they do, then a mole of souls can also have a mass. So, at what rate are souls moving into hell and at what rate are souls leaving? I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for souls entering hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Some of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to hell. Since there are more than one of these religions and people do not belong to more than one religion on average, we can predict that all people and all souls go to hell on average. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change in volume in hell. Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in hell to stay the same, the ratio of the mass of souls and volume needs to stay constant. Thus, there are two possible conditions:
) If hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter hell, than the temperature and pressure in hell will increase exponentially until all hell breaks loose.
-OR-
) If hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until hell freezes over.
We can solve this (de)lemma with the 1990 postulation of Ms. Theresa LeClair, the woman who lived across the hall from me in first year residence. Since I have still not been successful in obtaining sexual relations with her, I know that condition two has not been met, and thus it can be concluded that condition one is true, and therefore that hell is exothermic."

We're in the second stage of three heaven-hell ages. The first was in the OT, the second the NT, and the third hell will be out of the earth, probably a black hole of sorts (an "endless abyss"). The current hell is in the probably in the center of the earth.
I dont remember the verses that depict this but they exsist... about 450 of them.

Bind (bind) my limbs with fear (fear)
Choke me with tears (tears)
I won't die for you
You've (you've) been here before (before)
And come back for more (more)
But not this time
You will never be strong enough
You will never be good enough
You were never conceived in love
You will not rise above
Somebody tell me what made us all believe you
I should have known all along it was all a lie
(Should have known it was all a lie)
Now (now) I know the truth (truth)
I'm through fearing you (you)
And I am free
You will never be strong enough
You will never be good enough
You were never conceived in love
You will not rise above
Somebody tell me what made us all believe you
I should have known all along it was a lie
(Should have known it was all a lie)
Somebody tell me what made us all believe you

Eternity is outside of time... so hell is outside of the universe that we know. The rest is speculation...
