Yeah, sometimes. My own mother tells me that I am a bad mom because I dont take my kids to her church, and that God will punish me for all thier sins as well as mine! It drives me crazy. I can get over that, as she is just a mean person, but what I really love are all the people who kill in the name of God...boy I bet he really loves that. Wonder what questions they will have to answer someday.....

In terms of Christianity (I can only guess this may be the religion you are poking at), your very question is contradictory.
The definition of "arrogant" is:
"Having or displaying a sense of overbearing self-worth or self-importance"
According to the Bible, salvation cannot be obtained without humility.
The definition of "humble" is:
"Marked by meekness or modesty in behavior, attitude, or spirit; NOT ARROGANT or prideful"
So if someone is truly saved in accordance with the Bible, they can not be arrogant in that regard.
BTW, there is no cause for arrogance when it comes to salvation, because it is a GIFT freely given, not something earned by acts or works. It is not a GROUP, it is a personal matter between you and Jesus. The Bible also tells us not to condemn (judge) others, lest we be judged.
The Bible does say that those who refuse to accept Jesus Christ will not enter the kingdom of God. That's not arrogance either, that's just what it says. Some people believe, others don't.
Is a Republican any more arrogant than a Democrat in their political stance, or vice versa? A die-hard Democrat believes theirs is the BEST political party, otherwise they would be Republican or something else, right?

I don't think it's arrogant at all. It's just a beneficial fact for the believer. The believer didn't invent the idea. It came from a Holy Book or text. It does have the ability to make some feel like they are "better" than others if not viewed in the proper context, that being no one is truly "good". We all sin and are in need of salvation.

People aren't saved by belonging to a religious group, they are saved by faith in Christ, by askng forgiveness, repenting of their sins, turning away from those sins, and following Him. That's not arrogance, that's God's Grace. It is something that Christian's are very thankful for, and wish for others to experience. It's not arrogance, it's love.

Arrogance is defined as "overbearing pride evidenced by a superior manner toward inferiors". Pride is defined as "a feeling of self-respect and personal worth".
So how can one be prideful when one know they aren't worthy of the gift of salvation? How can one be arrogant when they know that the gift of salvation is available to all people regardless of how good or bad people are?

interestingly enough the bible never defines "saved." it could simply mean that you'll have a fantasic life on earth. as could "everlasting life." the point is that the bible is so vague on so many levels that it leaves most of the translating to the reader. we are all familiar with how this works, look at the nostradamus prophecies. they're all coming true to some extent, but they never predict something. we have to go and reread them after a tragedy and then bam, turns out good ol' nostra was right! same goes for the christian bible. in my opinion, since none of us are god, none of us are capable of deciding which parts of the bible are metaphorical and which are literal. this INCLUDES all passages referring to salvation. either they are all to be considered literal, or all to be considered metaphorical. this means that being saved could simply refer to meeting that special someone and having a fine life.

Yes, especially when they go on their "I'm saved, You're not" sprees. The more Extreme the person is about it, the more it seems they ignore the very laws they use against others. I usually ignore it when someone tells me "I'm saved..." Like with a lot of things of this nature, I have to say "Prove it."

No - Christianity is not exclusive, it is inclusive - all are free to accept Jesus' free gift of salvation - it's up to each individual. Arrogance would come if the choice were not available to everyone.

If the person believes that without God, he/she is doomed to hell, or as I believe, to eternal death, but is holding on to God's promise to save him/her for that, I would think he/she would be quite humble.
After all, isn't he/she admitting that he/she is a sinner, and cannot save him/herself, no matter how good a person he/she is??

your premise is totally wrong.
belonging to a particular religious group will NEVER save you or anyone else.
Salvation is by the Grace of God through the death of his Son, Jesus Christ, on the cross at Calgary.
It is a gift.
you can't earn it.
you can't buy it.
Perhaps you might wish to study the subject before asking.
the facts will clear things up for you.
you can find them in God's best selling book.
