I feel in love two years ago with a man from Chile I was once the person that said all these illigals need to go back. that was until I met my boyfriend and have a lot of friends that are hispanics you will know me because you will look at a group of hispanics and only see one white chick Thats me!! anyway my point is I love all people and I do not have a problem with the illigals that are here working trying to make money for their families those are the ones that actually pay taxes. the ones that are coming over and having babies and trying get onto welfar are the ones who are making the other ones look bad. no one knows how hard any of these countries from latin America are stuggling to come here the righ way. Untied States is not allowing them to come. they haven't allowed them to come the right way. That is why so many of them are illigal here. I fell in love with a hispanic man and he was illigal here But I do not care because he worked, payed his taxes and sent money to his kids

So you fell in love with an illegal and now you're pro-illegal?

I fell in love with a burglar and now I think all burglars are good people.

He must be a good lover if he made you give up your convictions.

First you must be careful throwing the word racist around. A difference in opinion does not equal racism. My half brother and sister are are half Mexican and I adore them very much, I have many friends who are hispanic, I think that immigration is a wonderful thing both for the people immigrating and for the country recieving them. Do I sound racist? I also belive that illegal immigration is wrong, I think all who are illegally in the country should be deported and banned from ever reentering. Do I sound racist now? Just because someone is against illegal immigration does not mean that their beliefs are racially motivated in any way. Now, you say your boyfriend is a good person because he pays taxes, don't be so nieve, if your boyfriend is paying taxes he is doing so by using someone elses social security card, which means he stole it, which means not only did he commit the crime of illegally entering the country but he also commited fraud through identity theft. So you have had a change of heart and feel sorry for these people because of your boyfriend. What about the person who's the victim of your boyfriends fraud? Do you know who this person is? Do you know his or her situation? She could be a single mother who depends on a tax refund at the beginning of the year, but will not get it this time because your boyfriends income now shows she has made too much money. Maybe instead it's a single father who's wife died leaving him with their five children, who normally breaks even on his taxes, but now because of your boyfriends added income, he somehow has to figure out a way to pay back taxes because it shows he made more money that what he paid into taxes. Your boyfriend apparently does not care who he hurts, he just want to work right?

First of all it's spelled RACIST and Hispanic is with a capitol H. Don't all of the question sections come with auto spell check? If you are going to ask an inflamatory question like that at least know how to spell the people you support and speak intelligently against racists...sheesh. OK to answer your question...How is it "racist" if a country closes it's borders because they are being overwhelmed by immigrants? France for one I know has closed it's borders over a decade ago. I'm told many other countries have as well. Why is that racist? If I have taken dozens of people into my home for decades and one day I stop and don't want any more people to come into my home am I a racist? You only care about this because you are banging this guy. If you were not you wouldn't give a flying flip either way I bet. Also, if you "love him" so much why don't you marry him so that he can get his green card via marriage and literally make an honest non criminal out of him? Or is it that he doesn't love you enough even to marry you even if it gets him a green card? I am not one to prejudge people. I will say that I worked with many many people from Chile when I waited tables at a 5-star resort a few years ago. That was pure HELL. Some knew each other some didn't but they all stuck together. They spoke only their own language at work (although they all knew good English). They were only team-players with THEIR OWN. They created a rep for themselves as all known table stealers LOL. If you went to get a customer coffee you'd return and they would be at your table grinning it up with your customers, acting like the good hearted, hard working immigrant and then when the customer left a tip they would pocket it--from YOUR table. This happened to me DAILY with the people from Chile. I never once had an American (Hispanic, White or Black) EVER steal a table from me. I decided that to them survival in life entails an hostile, aggressive dog-eat-dog style of working. I was glad to get an office job not have to work with them again. Still, I know everyone from Chile is not like this (at least I hope not and try to keep an open mind) but that doesn't mean I want the whole damn country moving here like the what's happened with Mexico. I read a study that one in SIX Mexicans is in the USA!!?? WTF??!! I'm sorry little girl. Go bang an Aussie or a Brit and fight for their right to be here then say we are "racist" against Tony Blair's brother b/c you "love him" and we are make it hard for him to come here. Ugh.

Hmmmmm, I wonder what his wife and kids in Chile would think of you - that is, if they knew about you. You sound just like my daughter who fell in love with an illegal Honduran man. Most of the time, these guys are just using the girls they meet here for sex while they are busy working and sending all their money back home to their families there (you know, the wife and kids?). Most of the time, all you are is a convenient outlet for sex for them while they are here, but they have no further intentions towards you. In fact, you sound as if you are maybe somewhere around the gullible, naive age of maybe 18. If so, you had better think twice about this love you have for this man. My daughter was talking the same way you are talking now, and it turned out in the end that he used her big-time! Everyone else could see it at the time, except for her. She couldn't see it and wouldn't believe it. Now, she knows it! If you are the ONLY white girl in that circle that you described, I would bet you that your family and all of your former friends are telling you that you are being used and taken for a ride, and you aren't believing them. Well, I can tell you that you are going to get a very painful and rude awakening before this relationship is finished. I am about 100% sure of it because I speak from experience as a mother of a girl who used to sound just like you are sounding now.

Well, I tried to reply, and Yahoo shut me down. Here it goes again: The NON-BULLCRAP answer:

I don't care who you fell in love with, that's irrelevant.

When America (I assume you're in America? By which I mean the U.S.? If you're not, then I can at least answer the question here for you.) was founded, it consisted of 3 main groups:
-British (Colonists)
-Native Americans
-And later on, Slaves

Later after that, due to problems in Europe (Religious tensions, wealth issues, famines), many immigrants from countries in Europe came here. Check the history books: They were DESPISED!

It's not your fault, it's just almost natural instinct. When these immigrants moved in, it was like they were invading. And suddenly, this sort of eras-old defense reflex kicked in, and people hated these invaders.

Now to modern day. Who is the single largest group of people who are entering the U.S. (legally or not) ?. Hispanics.

Now take that past scenario to today. Many people (such as myself) see illegals, rightfully, as invaders. Still, more people (Unlike myself) see ALL Hispanics as invaders, and kick in this eras-old reflex, and subconsciously, become racist. It's not your fault, and it's a hard feeling to control. This is just how it is.

I am amazed at the amount of racist people on Yahoo Answers of all places! is it because you can type everthing you are too scared to say out in the open and hide behind your computer? I hate how most of America acts anti-immigrant but I have never seen a large anti-immigrant rally, if you believe so much and want to show the world how you feel go out there and do something about it, but dont spill your racist propaganda into an answer forum like a pansy! I am a mexican american female whose parents came here as illegal immigrants but were fortunate enough to gain citizenship thorugh the amnesty during the Reagan presidency, my parents love this country and so do i, they werent lazy, or stupid, or thiefs! Not ALL immigrants are, a lot of them pour their hearts into their work, just to give their family a better life, in my experience, Hispanic families are some of the warmest, closest, friendliest of all people, and i have friends of all kinds, including a white boyfriend who LOVES my culture and people

You have to care because the rules are for everybody. We don't get to pick and choose which rules we should follow today. If a Mexican can cross the border illegally today, why can't I rob a bank? Why should he get to break the rules of his choice, and not me and mine?

The cry of racism is so phony anyway, because people who are against illegal immigration don't care what color or country the lawbreakers are from. I am just as strict about not letting in illegals from Iceland, or Sweden, than Mexico or Nicaragua. The color of their skin makes no difference.

It's not about race, it's about following the rules. If I was racist against hispanics, then I would be against the legal immigrants from Mexico, and of course I am not. Legal immigration is fine with me.

As I have always said 99% of pro supporters have a vested interest in the illegal him/her self.Spouse, lover, parent, friends etc. They are fueled by emotion ,not common sense. When you try to look with your heart you are stone blind to anything but the good you seek out in that person.Damn the country, damn the world.Hell someone loved Hitler and Manson. That doesn't absolve them of the crime/crimes they committed. You cant or wont change until he brings his wife here the mother of his kids and I will bet money hes still married to her.But until then honey you keep beating that drum, its worn out but you will learn in time that ,perhaps your first views on illegal aliens were the correct ones.

You talk of racism,do you know who La Raza Unida or the Brown Berets are ? They are the Hispanic equivalent to the KKK,they are racists that advocate killing all white people and taking over the southwest. From the way you write and spell perhaps you need to get a little more education before you make statements you cant back up with substantiated facts.

Stephanie I am and have been happily married for many years, its best that you keep my name out of your posts. You are rude and I did not say all were married,I said Id bet he was.Perhaps you need to read a little more carefully.

The ones that come here and work hard for a living are still criminals. I have a friend who lives in Mexico and I know he sneaks into the US and even though he is a friend he too is a criminal. I don't think he is a bad person but I do think he should be held responsible for his crime because he brakes the laws of this country. I am married to a lady from South America who waited her turn to come in the legal way and it did take sometime for citizenship but she was able to work and stay here during the process legally. There is no excuse in breaking the law and not expecting to pay for it.
The burden of illegal immigration to the US is to great to just allow everyone to come when ever the notion strikes. Without immigration controls do you realize that Bin Laden and his buddies can just walk in untouched?

No it truly isn't any longer incorrect to be adverse to unlawful immigration yet once you generalize all hispanics like that you're being as racist as maximum of those precise wingers opt for you to be. i'm a third technology American and that i'm also adverse to unlawful immigration yet those human beings are inherently undesirable, it truly is merely that maximum of those those who come from Mexico are undesirable and uneducated, the wealthy and midsection classification Mexicans do not come to this usa, merely the undesirable and ignorant ones so putting all of them mutually like it extremely is illogical and close minded. Latinos are the biggest turning out to be monetary crew in this usa and many are entering into the suburbs yet regrettably no longer sufficient are going to college in spite of the undeniable fact that it extremely is by means of subculture of latin u . s . of america not in any respect less than pressure out coaching like say Indian subculture or east asian subculture.
