Ceramic Tile typically has a baked-on glaze on it. You'll need to find something(if they make it) in a laquer, perhaps a spray on lacquer or glaze if you can find it...otherwise, check out the art store to see if they have anything that you can paint and stick in your oven at home.
Good Luck with that!

I would not try painting the floor, virtually nothing available will stay in place. You can use the 2 part epoxy paint for the walls, that is designed for re-coating a tub. It is about $50 for the kit, and one kit may not do the entire bathroom. Kilz, a brand name, does make a primer for going over tile. You should rough up the surface a bit with the sand paper, so the primer will stick, then put on a good finish coat. I did this in my bathroom with pink tile. It lasted about 2 years, I then had to touch up some nicks, but it was easier and much cheaper than all new tile.

First off, you need something to "score" the glaze off the ceramic tile...
Some people use TSP and others use other products...(Check with your Tile Store that you bought the tiles from, and if they tell you that it "cant" be done, check with a hardware store that sells paint, and they will tell you it "can" be done!
Then, you can use enamel paint, or acrylic.
(DONT use latex, because it will simply 'tear' when you think its 'hard' and its not really...latex is a stretchy paint, and will either peel or tear out eventually).
I wish you well..

There is a primer they sell at home depot.. It's by Zissner. It's specially made to adhere to glossy surfaces. Read the label.
