I respect the bible for its endurance through the ages and I love the author who gave it to us.

As far as a mocking forum, thats pretty much the case where ever you go on the internet. People normally shun that which they can not understand and unless the "scales" are lifted from their eyes they won't get it. So, plant the seed, water, and let God supply the increase. We can't save anyone...only God can.

I watched a wonderful special on the birth of jesus the other day, and a lot of the bible came into question.

I do respect the Bible....for what it is. Even religious theologans will concede that the Bible is not necessarily all "true" and factual. Each of the apostles who wrote the Bible, were writing in different styles, at different times, and to different audiences. Their are many inconsistences between Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

Thus, it's some great story-telling, with a message that transcends time and cultures, and affect millions. However, is it accurate....I don't know, and doubt we ever will know. So for now, I value it as very old, very classic literature.

Yes! The Bible is the INSPIRED Word of God. Meaning that it is God's message to us written by the hand of men. I believe it and I try to follow it. I have love for everyone on earth and I wish that they believed the message of salvation in the Word of God.
Of course there are going to be mockers. All we Christians can do is pray for them. Faith comes before understanding and they will mock us until they believe. The Bible talks about people who mock us, so why should we be surprised by them. We were once lost and the Grace of God is so sufficient to those who accept it!

Perhaps the ones who love and respect the Bible should show some love and respect to everyone else?

Maybe your question should be - does anyone here love and respect their neighbor as themselves? or does anyone love and respect, God, Goddess, All that Is? Or even does anyone love and respect Jesus?

Perhaps you should look at your own reflection in the mirror and see what you are mocking and maybe then you will realize while you feel your own beliefs are being mocked!

What do you expect, David. I mean, I’m sorry, but you don’t always make the most sense to a lot of people. 3 + 1 does not equal 3 just because there is a 3 in the original equation.

Besides, people didn’t come here just to be converted to Christianity. Did you think you were going to find someone who logged on as an atheist and get them to log off as a Christian? It’s a little naïve. The world doesn’t work that way, sweaty.

Bind (bind) my limbs with fear (fear)
Choke me with tears (tears)
I won't die for you

You've (you've) been here before (before)
And come back for more (more)
But not this time

You will never be strong enough
You will never be good enough
You were never conceived in love
You will not rise above

Somebody tell me what made us all believe you
I should have known all along it was all a lie
(Should have known it was all a lie)

Now (now) I know the truth (truth)
I'm through fearing you (you)
And I am free

You will never be strong enough
You will never be good enough
You were never conceived in love
You will not rise above

Somebody tell me what made us all believe you
I should have known all along it was a lie
(Should have known it was all a lie)

Somebody tell me what made us all believe you
I should have known all along it was all a lie
Somebody tell me what made us all believe you
I should have known it was all a lie
I should have known it was all a lie

I have respect for the Bible the same as I have respect for any religious text; but I refuse to accept it without question and I do not believe it to be the word of God.

I love and respect The Bible as God's word. Whoever doesn't is
going to have a sad judgement day.

Merry Christmas! Jesus is the reason for the season.

For everyone who does mock God and The Bible....do you celebrate Christmas? If so, WHY?

Everyone and everything gets mocked here -- Christians, atheists, the Bible, God, Darwin, evolution, everything.
