I've gotten to the site (www.getfirefox.com) and I clicked download, and it does. THEN it goes to 'setup' and it freezes. Do you have any hints/thoughts/instructions?

Try installing interent explorer 7 from windows update and then downloading firefox again.

The installer may be having a conflict with some other program you have running. One way to find out is to try the following:
First I'd restart the computer. Once Windows boots up again, hold down Ctrl-Alt-Del keys to get to the Windows Task Manager and click the "Processes" tab (assuming you're using Windows XP). Close everything on the list that doesn't have "SYSTEM" as a user name and then try installing FireFox. If it was some sort of conflicting program then it should install for you without freezing up.

Hey i could email the setup to u if u don't mind but on my pc it doesn't freez at all i think there is a problem in ur pc chechk the requirements

Check to see if you are setup as an Administrator on your PC. Yo won't be able to install anything if you are not.

that is odd.
first thing i would do is restart.
i am sure your install file is fine. do you have a bunch of silly software installed? possibly spyware?
http://free.grisoft.com and clean up the spyware
Make sure you uninstall any silly software that could taking up system resources.
onces you have a half way decent os running try it again.

I have it on my computer I went to www.downloads.com that will help you download it there and show you step by step!
