I know the ingredients for (most) of it, I am just not sure whether or not it has sour cream.

It is thin sliced sandwich meat, cream cheese, chives, and possibly sour cream(?)

Has anyone else ever made this, I don't have a name for it.

I looked at Kraft, & different places to no avail...

Just About Everything Cheese Ball

2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 oz. jar chopped pimentos, undrained
2 T. sweet pickle relish
10 slices bacon
1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
Dash salt
Dash pepper
1/2 c. chopped fresh parsley
Crackers

Have cheeses at room temperature. Cook bacon, drain and crumble. In processor, beat cream cheese and sour cream until fluffy. Beat in Swiss and Cheddar, onion, pimentos, relish, 1/2 the bacon, 1/2 c. pecans, salt and pepper. Cover and chill until firm. Combine remaining ingredients in small bowl. Turn cheese mixture onto a clean sheet of wax paper or foil. Roll cheese ball in mixture to coat. Wrap in foil and chill. Let stand 30 minutes at room temperature before serving with crackers.

Notes: If you use a mixer instead of a processor, make sure the onion is finely chopped. You can also make 2 small balls instead of one large. (I added too much relish one time, and ended up with a spread instead of a cheese ball - still tasted good.

I make this simple cheese ball and every year people ask me for the recipe:

1 8 oz pkg cream cheese
1 8 oz sharp cheddar, shredded
1 jar dried beef-diced small
1 med white onion, diced small,
1-2 TBSP worcheshire sauce
mix all together, form cheese ball with hands-either one large or two small.
roll in crushed walnuts.
Cool in fridge for at least 4hrs.
Serve with crackers.
this is best at room temp.
And they freeze very well!

Are you making a cheese ball? That is what it sounds like. If you use sour cream, it isnt a cheese ball though. but search for a cheese ball at foodnetwork.com or kraft.com and see if that is what you are talking about.
you put it on crackers as you eat it. Is that what it is?

Is it a spread for crackers? (It sounds like chipped beef ball to me. That's made with a little bit of mayo and cream cheese)

It sounds very good.
I would not worry about the name of it.
I think it would be good with chipped beef in it... it comes packed in a little jar ... I'd use the recipe as you have it and add a squeeze of lemon, some pepper, and maybe a very little olive oil...make a spread of it; serve it with crusty bread or 7-grain bread and serve some lettuces and English cucumber...
