depends on your attention span and the people around you. if you're lucky to be sitting next to a cute guy/girl, strike up a conversation. failing that, there's always in-flight entertainment like movies, although i never manage to sit through an entire one. i usually pack an MP3 player, magazines and/or a book, maybe crossword puzzles, game boy or something equally distracting. failing all that: a big bottle of niquil, two gulps of which should ensure that you snooze through most of your flight.

Sleep. Get in a comfortable position, of course, or you'll wake up with bad aches, I know i did, it was horrible.
Times really flies when you sleep. And it's always good to do so, or you'd arrive at the destination all worn out.

Sleep or read, which will make you sleep. I remember long trips as a child, I hated the wait to arrive, so I would bring my pillow and blanket and sleep. It's like waiting for Christmas morning to arrive, time flies when your sleeping
