Edit - I looked it up, as I was sure I had iTunes on Windows 98 back in the day. It seems a couple years ago, Apple decided "Windows 98 was too insecure". iTunes runs now as a "service", it can only be run by NT family Windows like 2000, XP, and 2003.
However, I've found a site that has an iPod program and driver for Windows 98:
http://www.vonnieda.org/vPod/
But if you are still shopping for an mp3 player, and you are stuck with Windows 98 for a little longer, I would recommend buying one that comes with a Windows 98 driver out of the box. Or just switching to Windows 2000. Windows 98 really was terribly insecure and unstable.

You can't.Do not go to an unauthorized site for downloading windows 98 because there are a lot of spyware out there which sneaks into your system follows you wherever you may go.PC's get viruses.Do not be a hero by downloading torrents.I'd suggest you to get it from a computer store.

You can't use an iPod with 98 I believe, since you can't use iTunes with 98 - its 2000/XP only.
