A U.S. Savings Bond. He's too young to need anything or know what he got. Someday he will be glad you got it for him. I know my girls were thrilled when they turned 16 and cashed in on the bonds they had received as babies to help buy their first cars.

i would say not to get him a stuffed animal because he proably got plenty when he was first born. An outfit would be cute, but make sure its like something different than a little wear just about everywhere outfit b/c he also proably got a lot of those when he was a newborn. Get him an outfit thats either like a baseball or basketball uniform for a favortie family soprts team, or you can get him a cute little suit, if he is only 2 or 3 months old that is the last thing anyone will want to buy because people think that the baby will never wear it but thats not true the baby will proably actually wear it alot more than most think . the suit can just be something like a little coat with a dress shirt, and maybe find him a little sash to go around his waist like with a tux and then maybe a bow or tie, then black pants and cute little black shoes...This is a good idea b/c the parents can take him to a formal event with nice cloths on and it makes him look very cute!!! If thats not what you want to give him either then there is always the option of getting him some books, or music, or even somthing like a mobile, some toy for his crib, or if you know what his room looks like something to go on the walls or even a new set of sheets for his bed..... Also another nice gift is diapers, even though this sounds lame for parents diapers cost a lot and this would be a good idea to help the parents out, and the baby is to young to appreaciate his gift! So anyway you will be fine!!!

A pretty baby rattle kids love those.they can make noise with it and at that age they find it so exciting and interesting!
or one of those toys they can chew on...for new teeth.
or pajamas.or a bouncer.....they are like 10 dollars..and moms love those...cuz the baby just sits there calmly......anything would be great for kids that age.......make sure whatever you buy is age appropriate...you never want to give a baby a big kid toy,bad idea!
good luck shopping! merry christmas!

Get clothes - get an outfit or two sized to fit him now, and some more that are too big for him. Kids that age grow fast, and his parents will appreciate having something on hand when he doesn't fit what he's wearing now.

Hi Jerry, Get him his first teddy bear. You can't go wrong by that. I had my first teddy until it started falling apart from age.
