It is sad what the families have to go through.

These climbers were warned by Mother Nature, Weather Forecasters, and should know the history and the time they were to go out there that there is risk and peril. Who pays for this ignorance, and should we feel sorry for them? Isn't it almost like a mission of suicide if you don't go prepared knowing the risks?

It's like driving a car without break fluid, or oil. Just setting oneself up for danger.

If a volcano was about to erupt would you go towards it and climb into it?

A lot of stupid people.

I do too but they were not prepared. I read something that one of the climbers said it was going to be a quick up and back so they packed light. having experience outdoors anytime you do something like this you need to be prepared.

It sucks for the families but the worst thing is it could have been avoided with a little more preparation.

The news claims they were such good climbers, well prepared, and experienced. Well shame on them for putting their families through this.. fricken morons, they deserve whatever they get. AND yes I feel sorry for the families they leave behind with the pain. How dare they put their families through this $hit just to climb up a stupid hill.

It's sad, it's tragic and you have to feel for the families. But it's true that these guys voluntarily put themselves in harm's way for fun.
