If you are, what classes are you in and if you are a former member, what classes did you take.

I was a FFA member in HS... I did the general class for all 4 years and was a member of the Parlimentary Proceedure Team & Meats Judging Team. I won lots of awards in various areas also.

I can say that it was tons of fun and I wouldn't take it back for anything. It is hard work but it is rewarding (I got a scholarship). My advice on classes would be to take the general for at least a year then if your school offers specialized classes to take the 2 that you like the best. Welding was always fun, and personally I loved Drafting.... its all personal preference really

FEMA??? Whatever, obviously not what you are asking about.

My little sister is in the FFA. She is attending a regional vocational-agriscience program at a local high school. As far as I know, right now she is taking just a general class that covers all areas of the program. Later, she is going to be focusing on animal sciences with the goal of becoming a veterinary assistant.

I know she has to do a lot of volunteer projects, and she also logs hours spent doing things related to agriculture. She volunteers at a stable that does therapeutic riding sessions for disabled children, and will be getting a job at a local vet's in the spring.

Hope that helps.

PS: i can get more info if you need it.

FEMA did a terrible job in Louisiana. I hope they get better next time.
