IBIS hotels are quite cheap and there's loads in the centre of Paris. Good one about 1000 metres from the Eiffel Tower. we stayed by the Arc de Triomphe last year, Etoile Park, reasonable price but depends what you want to spend. This year, over New Year, we're in a Best Western Hotel in the Latin Quarter.

i'd recommend the Etap inn, that's technically positioned not in Paris, yet in Montreuil (actually basically outdoors of Paris city limits). Etap is a primary yet efficient inn chain: sparkling rooms, plus your man or woman bathroom and bathe (the "Formule a million" inn chain supplies somewhat more cost-effective rooms, yet you need to bypass into the hallway to apply the bathroom or bathe, and may each from time to time ought to attend your turn). Montreuil isn't a good section - in which i do not recommend that's risky, a lot as not precisely the most captivating element of the Paris section. though, i'm assuming that you're basically searching for an section to sleep and shop your luggage for a life like cost. This inn is interior person-friendly walking distance of Porte de Montreuil métro station (Line 9), which elements with person-friendly get admission to to the middle of Paris (course: Pont de Sèvres).

Well, the chain hotels are all well and good, but they're pretty boring.

Try the Eldorado, up on rue des Dames in the 17e.
