Yes, I know they are dangerous but I'm still gone to get one. So can anyone tell me where and the price?

You can find a ton of breeders online. Only make sure you check on how long they have been breeding and how well domesticated they are. Also note that some breeders will not ship the pups to you unless you are in a state that allows it. But don't worry. Regardless of what some of the people have said to you on here. They are not illegal in all of the United States...and do not always require permit. My friend growing up had one. She informed animal control units, and they checked the pup out....she got all the necessary vaccines, and she had her wolf until about 4 years ago when he passed away. Oh and normall you are looking at about $700 and up. And that is just for the pup. Not including vaccines....

Breeding and selling dogs with FULL wolf bloodlines is illegal in most parts of the USA, but also in other countries (Australia, UK). Also you would probably get in trouble with PETA or WWF. Not to mention the howling and aggressiveness of an unneutered male wolf. I'm not sure about wolf mixes as pets, but I know for a fact that people who have found wolf puppies and raised them, once the wolf grew up it turned upon its owner; seeing the owner as a threat to the wolf's dominance. Let's be serious. Why do you want a wolf? Why not a German Shepherd, Husky, or Alaskan Malamute? (Especially the malamute and husky, both available in several natural colours, they look quite similar to wolves, click the links in the sources section for pictures I found off a google search). Besides the dogs I've mentioned have been domesticated for many years and are used to the prescence/touch of humans. They are, one would presume, easier to train than a wolf.

Hope this helps and good luck.
Please leave these beautiful wild animals in their natural habitat, as they should be!

P.S German shepherds, Alaskan malamutes and huskies are readily available from trusted breeders worldwide - it's not much trouble to find them, check your local/daily classifieds. Make sure the breeders allow you to view the puppy's parents and have registered papers for the dog aswell.

EDIT: The wolves that Nene found for sale are wolf HYBRIDS. This means they have been interbred with one of the above breeds I mentioned before (shepherdXwolf, malamuteXwolf etc).

If you cannot do the research yourself you don't deserve to get one. Are you the type of person that just wants to get one so that you'll be considered "cool" because you have a wild animal for a pet? Probably. You also need to check with the laws as where you live. Wolves and wolf hybrids are considered wild animals in some municipalities and would be considered illegal. Oh, but that's right, you don't care, you're going to get one anyway.

Sure.

I have a wolf/Sheppard mix dog. I found him by accident. Others feel that they are dangerous, but I beg to differ. It all depends on how you raise them. Mine loves my children but he is also extremely protective of them. But he has NEVER bitten anyone either in fact he is the most loyal of all dogs I have ever had, he views us as his "pack". I am not sure where you live to give you a specific place to find one. I found mine on an Indian reservation near where I went to college. Good luck with your search and don't listen to everyone here, as long as you raise them properly and sweetly you will not have any problems. If you have other questions please feel free to ask, I am not an expert but I have raised a wolf mix.

Most wolves are protected, and having a pure bred wolf is illegal in most states.
Besides, you know you only want one to show off with. A status thing. They are a dangerous animal, and are never fully domesticated.

That`s just cruel! Wolfs are wild animals and they need to be free. It is also an endangered animal, which is really sad, and people keep killing them because they eat cheep. STUPID!! If those people let their cheeps out in the mountain alone, what do they expect?? If you like wolfs, you should try fighting for their survival

Wolves are not meant to be kept in captivity. They are wild animals and need the space to roam. They are beautiful and sometimes misunderstood creatures. They do have a place in this world, but not around humans.
