To the dying (the people living in sin and unbelief) Jesus message is unaccepted and deemed useless.

To the one being saved it is everything.

If god is so magnificent then why wouldnt god have made us all smart enough to understand the the ins and outs of the universe? Why is god this trivial. Why does god intend for people to live a life just to get to heaven? The simple answer is in fact the the bible is a fictional story, used to ease the infinite amount of questions that human beings had and have, and to deal with death.

The bible was written by men. I just saw a show on the Discovery channel last night that claimed that much of the bible was changed around 180 AD for the specific purpose of controlling the masses. I have been using that exact phrase for months. That was certainly a validation to me that I have the right idea.

I have seen your answers before. I think that you may be a very intelligent person who has unfortunately been brainwashed.

The bible is not foolishness. It IS the Word of GOD. The fool does not believe that is true.

The message of the cross is the good news about Christ's death and resurrection for our sins. The gospel becomes the power that snatches sinners from the death and imparts eternal life.

We all perish and then are no more. If a book as error-filled and wrong as the Bible judges me a fool, then by all means I am a fool, because I choose to use my brain, not fall upon trite little sayings and emotional appeals.

The heart knows nothing but emotion. The mind knows only the quality of what you feed it. I prefer to feed it higher quality food than your insipid book.

Since you asked...here's the best description of the bible ever written:

"It is full of interest. It has noble poetry in it; and some clever fables; and some blood-drenched history; and some good morals; and a wealth of obscenity; and upwards of a thousand lies."

--excerpt from "Letters From The Earth" by Mark Twain

That's incredibly true. Absolutely true.

Those who don't believe just think it's a silly contradictory book before they become part of God's kingdom... well... if.

And, yes, they are indeed perishing.
