This is true to a point, but I believe that Muslims do not accord Jesus the respect that he deserves.
* Muslims do not read the Injil (gospel), except when they want to convert Christians.
* Muslims don't know any of his sayings.
* Muslims commemorate just about everything in Mohammed's life - Ramadan, Eid Al Fitr, and they sing for his birthday Malid Al Nabi. What celebrating do they do for Jesus - what do they commemorate for him? We're told even Christmas is a no-no... so what honour do they really give him?
* Why do Muslims only say the Shahada with Mohammed's name, when there are other great universal prophets, like Jesus or Moses?
No, honouring and believing in a prophet requires the faithful to put their "money where their mouth is." In practical terms, Jesus' only real role in Islam is as a proselytizing bridge to convert Christians with. He does not really otherwise receive any honours from them.

Yes, I did know that Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet born to the Virgin Mary. I took a world religion class not too long ago and had to study all major world religions, Islam being one of them.
They just don't believe that Jesus was the son of God.

That's all fine and good, but WHO do they say Jesus is. I can say I believe in Jesus but think historically he was a nut. That would mean that I wouldn't be believing in the same Jesus. They call him "Injil" (sp??). As a christian, I have been told only ummmmmmmmmmmm about a GAZILLION times that muslims believe in Jesus. So, we know. But who they say Jesus is and what He really did differs from the bible so greatly that I cannot consider a muslim a brother or sister in Christ. They also do not place their faith in Jesus. They place it in muhammed who taught a different gospel than the one in the Bible and worshipped a false god. So it's nice that there are similarities that create some common ground, but only enough for them to get themselves into error. A "little" knowledge is a bad thing.

True, but you failed to mention that we believe he is a Prophet sent by God, like Noah, Abraham, David, Moses....to Mohammed. He chose Mary, as she was a pure person to carry a fatherless child to become a miracle to mankind.
This is why Christians are furious with us.

I knew that. They have great respect for Jesus, and for Mary, yes. They DONT believe he is anything more than a prophet, and that is why we agree to disagree.

Demons also believe in Jesus, and they are not even close to the kingdom of God. Unless you recognize Him as Lord of Lords, and King of Kings, the only way to God per His words, believing in Him will do you no good.
