You could ask your Dr to order blood tests for auto-immune disorders(lupus, RA, asthma.) A systemic infection can also cause problems like that(i.e...lyme disease, valley fever.) There is also a type of anemia caused by your bodies inability to absorb vit.B/folic acid, that causes your red blood cells to become larger making it difficult for your body to distribute iron.
You have small children, have you injured your back? A herniated disc can cause all sorts of problems.

Get your Vitamin B12 levels checked. Sometimes low b12 levels causes similar problems...do you have any numbness or tingling in your legs?
