Well, I am married now but when I was single I looked for someone who was honest and that I could trust. Now a lot of the times you can't tell that by first impressions, but I could tell when someone was trying way too hard, and I think that is kind of a form of dishonesty. I think mostly we go off of looks and 1st personality impressions, so just be nice and well groomed. Usually first impressions arent hard to give, just dont come off as a jerk. its the second impression you need to worry about....

Is he cute? That's always good, but looks don't always count- I usually like what's on the inside better. Sense of humor, similar interests, good tastes like in music or movies, not much sexual experience with other women(hey, its honesty), not into men- no bis(sorry), lives no farther than an hour away so I can see him more than once or twice during the week, education- does he have brains or is he just numb, not into just THE one thing but for me, wouldn't change a thing...just simple ideas to consider.

Looks are naturally the first thing. People automatically make 1st impressions by what their eyes see. I want a man who is intelligent, understanding, funny, and mature. Someone who has a positive attitude about life.

for me they have to be a gentleman. what i mean is kind and sweet who would open a door for me. First impressions are the most important thing in the begining for they decide whether to like or dislike someone. a gentleman is the best. Oh and someone who dresses kinda classy. not all fancied up or anything just dressed up, well, nice

Well if I'm talking to a guy he's already cute or fine. Therefore my next interest in him would be to find out if he has a great sense of humor. I love a man that likes to have fun!

Confidence (shows he knows who he is). A confident walk, handshake and great posture.
A nice smile and healthy well dressed appearance (shows he takes care of himself). This does not mean expensive clothes, it means clean, well kept clothing that matches, is suitable for the occasion, and is flattering to his body shape.

someone that is friendly, courteous, and a true gentleman. if the guy pays attention to the little things, like offering his coat when it's cold, and shows he cares often, it's pretty unlikely that he will be single for too long.
