get a dryer sheet and lightly rub it on your hair, it will get rid of the static and make it smell good. The floral ones - not the mountainy smelling ones - you don't want to smell like a tree

Could you possibly mean "static"? If so, a good leave in conditioner might do the trick. The one I use is BioSIlk and is available at most, if not all, salons. Wash and condition as normal. Then put a small amount of BioSilk, about the size of a nickle, into the palms of your hand and distribute evenly throughout you hair. Dry and style as normal. It really helps control the frizzies. It's "relatively" expensive, but the $21 bottle lasts me at least a year, and I have shoulder length hair.

the reason that your hair gets staticy is because its so dry that it doesn't have anything holding it down or keeping it down. I know this sounds weird but I read it in Cosmo, you can take a small amount of hand lotion and rub it together in your hands than put it in your hair because I read that hand lotion has the same moisturizers in it as Hair conditioner which keeps your hair from being staticky. So buy some hand lotion and on a staticky day put some on your flyaways!!

AND the Dryer sheets didn't work for me, it actually made my hair more staticky AND I don't know about you but I don't like smelling like Fresh Mountain Breeze-fabric softner.

I live in Minnesota so I experience this problem constantly. What I find works the best is also the cheapest! All I do is when I am done showering and blow drying my hair I usually will put lotion on my body, so I have rubbed in lotion on my hands and quickly run my fingers through my hair. It is so much easier then going out and buying something you aren't sure is going to work. Try it it might work!

there's special brush i use. bought it at a drug store or kmart type place. a little water spritz and a little harispray spritz. there's also some products you can buy but i've never found any of them to work for static cling hair...just regular frizzy hair.

i have the same problem with static...after shampooing and conditioning your hair, try infusium23's moisturizing leave-in treatment. it comes in a spray bottle, and you can get it at wal-mart for $3-4. it works wonders!!!
