the story is simple... i fell in love with my really good friend....we have been friends for like 5 years..... but when i finally told him, he said he i was just a friend nothing more...and he cud never see me as anything else...
well that broke my heart and i was depressed cuz i had fallen hard for him...but after sometime i kinda saw things in focus again...and continued with my studies... hey the guy was honest with me...
but then he called me with his gf problems as usual and it hurts, still damn hurts...
so i told him i wud be unavailable for some time... i needed some time to myself....
he just texted me right now... he needs me....(or is using me?) it will be again some gf probs...
should i reply?

Part of being friends with someone is being able to talk to them about your problems, BUT, I think he's being pretty insensitive to you right now. He knows you have feelings for him, yet he wants to talk to you about girl troubles, even avter you've asked for some space..... I'd text him back and say you appreciate he's going thru a rough patch, but so are you, and you'll get back in touch after the New Year. During the holidays, enjoy your time away from him and decide if you can be a friend and not be hurt by his relationships with other girls. Maybe you'll never be "OK" with it, and may need to terminate the friendship, or maybe time will heal your hurt and you can be accepting that you and he will be only friends.

He is using you for emotional support. He needs someone to confine in but from experience but me and helping my friends. You can not help him because you have to heal and help yourself first before you can lift out your hand. This will also make you feel and be stronger by cutting the cord. Promise. THe first step is the hardest but let it burn.
