If there was a correct religion it would have stood out long before now. Most religions concede that the bible was written by men 'inspired' by gods words. That is the standard way of getting around all the hundreds of verified inaccuracies and contradictions. It follows then, that if the bible does contain some of god's actual words, there is, and probably never will be, any way of discerning them from the rest of the bible, thus rendering it useless for anybody looking for reliability. As for the bible being only meant for 'those times', I would recommend you doing some research on the actual history of the bible. In a nutshell it is a random compilation comprising about half of the known inferences to a purported deity that existed in the thirteenth century. The inferences cover a span of well over a thousand years.

The only way to tell a true religion from a false one is to learn the truth. If a religion's teachings serve man, it is from man... if it serves God it is from God. This will even decern true practicioners of God vs. the fake ones (the sheep from the goats). Also, since God created all that is... you can expect to be able to find him throughout history. Also, since God is perfectly Holy, He does not change with time... (giving into social pressures/humanistic views), he is already perfect. You can also witness his power in healing and doing the things you have read in the bible! Lastly God would not have created you if He didn't have a purpose for you... consider what that purpose is (or what a religion sais that purpose is), then you will know if it is true or not. As the Word of God sais: By the fruit of a tree, you can tell what kind of tree it is... likewise, it is not by the words but the actions of a beliving individual that you will be able to tell if he is a true disciple or a fake one.

Which ever one you feel most comf. with.
I totally see what youre saying about the bible. I guess that is all up to the person and their faith/beliefs. I personally think that a lot of what was written applied to the time period in which it was written and by who it was written.
Also you do not have to belong to any relgion in particular. I am personally just a spiritual person that would like to better myself and always be a good person. I have recently become very interested in buddhism though. If you are looking for a peaceful religion that can teach you a lot about personal growth it may be worth checking out.
I think that too many people get too wrapped up in religion and lose sight of what life is all about and being good people.

each religeon has its own bible and its own god. Christianity is the true religeon, with the Son, the Father, and the Holy ghost. Islam has its gods and its koran. Each view of religeon follows wht it wants to believe. But only one will have eternal life and will go to Heaven to be with God, that is Christianity. islam tells you to "go and kill people, the more people you kill the better you will be in heaven" NOW THAT IS JUST PLAIN STUPID!!!

Ephesians 4:4-6 states:
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
The Bible defines the one religion, those who follow all of the commandments of the New Testament.

Who says religion must involve the Bible? There are many religions that don't have a bible. Are they automatically wrong?

The correct religion is whatever is right for you. (as long as it's not a cult or something that brainwashes you to harm God's children).

The religion does not matter, as long as the person honestly believes that there is no G-d but G-d. G-d is One.

all religions are man made and all religious books are written by man who's to say that god exists or doesn't exist for sure as there's not a whole lot of evidence either way which is why i'm agnostic now don't get me wrong i'm not dismissing the possibility that god exists but i'm not gonna say that he does for sure either which is why i'm agnostic follow agnosticism as you are allowed to think for yourself and come up with your own conclusions without condemning anybody to hell or whatnot you can use reason logic and common sense and come up with your own possibilities which is what i like a bout agnosticism i'm open minded to tons of possibilities
