How is it that fat in our foods clogs up our bloodstream? What is the scientific answer to that?

cholesterol collects in your blood veins until it clogs.

It works exactly the same as how sediments collect at a bend in a river and eventually choke it off forming an oxbow lake or pond. Only your arteries/veins are a closed system so they just clog.

It's called atherosclerosis. The fat builds up in the form of deposits on your veins and arteries, so the pathway the blood flows through narrows, making it harder for the blood to move. When these deposits completely block an artery that leads to the heart, the blood doesn't get to the heart and heart failure occurs.
