Should I be concerned if my girlfriend sees a nearby "friend"in order that he may give her an X-mas gift ?

She said his "gift" is German sausage(she is a naturalized citizen) and he is just a "friend"(she has many such "friends"). They have had a relationship in the past.We have lived together since May,2006.She indicates she told me about this "gift" to be upfront and honest--yet I have a issue in terms of her trustworthiness and commitment.Ulimately, is she wanting wanting the cake and eating it too?
