With very thin faces, you dont want to have a style that flows with your jawbone. for example, a layered do framing your face. it will make your face look more narrow. Height has nothing to do with what hairstyles you can pull off but how much time you wish to invest in it does. I'd go to a Level 4 hairstylist and tell them how much time you wish to spend each morning. They can help. But most importantly if you are nervous about cutting your long hair into something short--you have to be confident. if you are scared about short, you'll just end up thinking they cut it Too Short and be unhappy with it.

There are web sites that allow you to post your picture and then rotate through different hair styles. Be careful, your hair might not do what the model's hair does. Be prepared to style your hair do if you pick something more than simple.

I used a great website to research my new 'do. Go to www.thehairstyler.com. For a one time charge of like 15.00 you get to upload your pic and try 1000's of different styles on your own pic. You and try different colors too. Its really cool...making a hair cut desision is tough!

go to a large wig shop and try on different styles .. You can also experimete with different colors this way. I wanted to dye my hair jet black a few years ago. Boy that would have been a big mistake! I look crappy with jet black hair. It may save you from a big mistake as it did for me.

Sounds perfect, like it would balance nicely and give some fullness to the thin straight impression you describe.

Sounds OK because you're not doing anything too extreme.
