ok . . . my gf broke up with me back in march and said she wanted to date around and see whats out there and all that good stuff after a 2 year relationship. . she starts dating this kid i went to high school with 2 weeks later . . . i hate the kid so its obviously a bad situation for me . . . so i try to get her back for about 2 months and in the middle of june i went NC . . on our 2 year anniversery at the beginning of july she send me a text that says . . "today was two year" just to remind me of it i guess . . . and ever since that text she has been calling/texting/leaving voicemail/or emailing me once atleast ever 2-3 weeks . . . a few times in was 2-3 times in a week . . . i have not responded to her or anything . . . so its been 5 months and its still going on .. .she is still with this same guy so she obviously knows we cant be friends be cause of the situation.. . . . . .so why does she keep trying to contact me?. .

She seems to be trying to make sure that you dont disappear and find someone else by stringing you along until she is done figuring out what she wants to do.
By showing interest in you, she makes you think you two still have a chance which keeps you away from other girls, but she still gets to have her cake.
Let her be, let her know that you wont be roped around anymore and that when she is ready to grow up and be real and honest with you - then and ONLY then will you have a conversation with her.
In the meantime, have fun. Date, go out with your friends... do things! Get her off your mind!

Look at this objectively. If you do not care about her maybe you can use her for sex, but what would that make you and it would ultimately hurt both of you.
So, if you care about her, realize that she is not a very mature person. She obviously has some agenda, but she is not letting you in on it and that is dishonest right there. She probably has her own needs to think about, maybe she has some problems with the new relationship or maybe she wants to have two guys on a string at the same time. The fact that you are bothered enough by this to ask a Yahoo questions says to me that she is capable of destroying your concentration and equilibrium. like most women.
A good women will not do that ... so I think you and her have had your little try, and to repeat that without some maturity on both your parts is not going to lead anywhere but a distraction, and going to end up hurting both of you. Let it go.

I think she wants to be with you. Some girls can handle breaking up with their boyfriend but then they cant handle losing them completely. You've been ignoring her so shes probably feeling like shes lost you completely and you no what they say-absence makes the heart grow fonder-so maybe shes realized how much she really feels about you and this space thing has done her good. With the birthday thing maybe hes not going to be there that's why shes invited you. I'd just ask her straight out how she feels other wise you may never find out. Maybe she wants you to ask her because she feels silly for finishing with you in the first place and I'll put money on it shes sitting there wondering what your thinking!

Go talk to her, tell her to make up her mind or you are out of the picture, if she still wants you, she will stop her little games. But why would you want to be with someone that is playing with your feelings like that in the first place? You should move on.

My ex husband did the same thing to me. She doesn't want you but she doesn't want anyone else to have you either. If you get a girlfriend I grant you your ex will flip out and want you back and as soon as she knows she can have you back...She's gone again. Change your number! She's a nut job! Trust me...dealt with the same thing!

she still loves and misses you because normally, i don't think you want to talk to someone who dumped you that much. Just do what you think is best and if it's not talking to her then do that. But if you do, you risk giving her what she wants and that's probably her believing that she has control over you.

set her straight. tell her that as long as she's with him, you want nothing to do with her. if she really loves you, she'll come back to you. just some advice, don't go to the party. i can already tell you that it will be a big disaster.
