I have had this boil for a while now...I went to the doctor and she said in fact it was a boil. She gave me an antibiotic to treat the boil, the boil seemed to be going away, but I did not take the antibiotic like I was supposed to. (Every 12 hours)

So I called the doctor back and she called in the antibiotic again, this time I took the meds like I was supposed to. I have been done taking the meds for about 2 or 3 days now, and it is starting to hurt again. I think the boil is either coming back or never went away, I think the meds only calm the boil down while taking them.

I dunno what to do??? Please Help???

Apply a hot damp towel to the area several times a day to bring it to a head. If you want, you can apply some antibacterial ointment too. When it starts to come to a head, heat a very fine needle in an open flame to sterilize it, then puncture the head gently with the needle. Press firmly (don't squeeze) flat against the boil with another clean hot cloth, and allow the boil to ooze. Daub some rubbing alcohol or peroxide onto the boil, and repeat the procedure once or twice a day untill it heals.

There is drawing fluid you can get from the pharmacist. I have some for my horses I got from a farm supply store. It will draw out the puss and relieve the pain. You might want to try very warm compresses also. Just remember to keep it clean, becuase it can spread. In case you didn't know it's a staph infection called mersa. Good Luck!!!
