When I meet girls they tell me they are single, but later I find out they have a boyfriend. Why can't they just say straight up that they have a boyfriend?

Its easier for them to get what they want out of you if they make you think you've got a shot with them. It's a lot easier for them to make you buy them drinks and sweaters and then jewelery if they make you think beforehand that you may be in the running to be their "main squeeze." How it usually works out, if you don't occupy more of their time than you want to they'll be getting with some other dude, and usually that other dude thinks he's the only one.
They try to slip by saying, "Oh I was just dating around," but what they are doing is making that other dude jealous enough to finally do that thing she really always wanted him to do. Luckily though, they end up with some douche who will do anything they want instead of a person who thinks for himself.

You must have something they want! They might think that you are better than what they already have! Have you never told the same lie? If not, you are one in a million and I would lie about having a boyfriend too! And it's not like they say No I don't have a boyfriend and you are dating her and run into her HUSBAND! Be flattered!

Typically, it's because their current boyfriend makes them unhappy and they are looking for something else. He may be abusive or not treat her right. Girls just don't break things off with the other guy until they have a new squeeze in the bag because they don't want to be alone. Therefore, you might have a shot.

Because that type of individual is devious. There are people with some degree of honor in the world. This ought to be an encouragement to you that you won't fall into a situation with someone like that. The honorable are few and far between.

They're probably trying to find out if you are better than their current boyfriend. If you are they will drop the other guy like a hot potato and do the same to you when they find someone better. Not all girls do this.

Good question.... Because I am tired of telling the truth they still won't leave you alone even if you tell them that your are single or have a boyfriend.
But if you tell men that you have a boyfreind they will pressure you to cheat. So yes is best to lie.

Some people lie and tell you that they are dating when they are not just to get rid of annoying guys. It works pretty well sad to say

I dont do this but Im a woman and not a girl but I think maybe their BF is a jerk face and she wants to see if she still has what it takes to hold a mans interest
