Fruit will ripen quickly by placing them in a brown paper bag. Set in a cool, shady spot and make sure there are a few holes in the bag. This should prevent the fruit from turning moldy. The fruit will give off a gas called ethylene, which stimulates the other fruit to ripen.

I find ripening fruit be it avocados or mangos are best ripened in a tightly closed bag with a couple of bananas. Leave for a least 2 - 3 days without opening the bag and your fruit/mangos should be perfect.
