My 5 yr old APBT/American Bulldog does the same thing. Right after he drinks too much water too fast. Unless it is showing other symptoms, I wouldn't be too concerned.

I think he/she is drinking too much too fast. Try giving him a little at a time. Cold water can also make a hot dog vomit. If the dog has been running around a lot, let him cool down a little before giving water. I think you should also check to make sure hes properly hydrated. You can do this (I think) but you might want to double check, by feeling the gums are nice and slimy not dry. They should be healthy and pink. When you push them gently, they should go paler and return back to pink quickly, thats a sign of good hydration i beleive.

Staffie is probably drinking to fast and i think you should visit a vet if Staffie keeps on doing that.

My Cocker Spaniel has the same problem. The Vet told me he was drinking his water too fast. You have to slow them down somehow by taking the water away and not letting them drink all of it, or by putting small amounts in the bowl to drink a little at a time.

Your pup is drinking the water too fast. I would suggest taking him to the vet...he's old, and he might be on a medication or have a condition that is making him thirsty and so he drinks more than he otherwise would.

If there is no medication reason, you might want to try providing ice cubes instead of water.

is this a normal thing for your dog or has it just come on?

as others have said, in some cases the dog can eat or drink too fast causing them to vomit.
Consult your vet if this is not normal as there may be some kind of intestine or stomach problem.
Best of luck and Merry Xmas!!
