I've never shaved my pubic area and I am nineteen years old. My boyfriend wants me to shave it off completely but I'm scared it will hurt during sex. What should I do?

ummmmm .. HURT ?! what so does shaving ur legs n armpits hurt too ?! some ppl dont have common sense i guess and its a shame

It shouldn't hurt to shave and sex shouldn't hurt because you shaved. It might be a little uncomfortable (sometimes it can be itchy when the hair starts to grow back) or a little sensitive. If you decide to shave, then use a new razor blade (so it's sharp) and a good shave gel/cream. There are some specialty shave creams (not usually sold in supermarkets) that are made just for shaving that area.

It shouldn't hurt during sex at all, in fact, it should enhance your sexual pleasure. Use a good razor or Nair or something like that. I like to use Nair or Veet. It gets the area really clean & smooth & you don't risk cutting yourself. But when the hair starts to grow back it will itch something awful. But still I think it's better to have no hair down there, it's just a lot cleaner. If you decide to shave, you can condition the pubic hair with hair conditioner for several minutes before shaving & that should help with removing the hair & reduce the ingrown hairs. Good Luck.

NO SHAVING. It will be 'wilder' then, and also it does get irritated there. Wax and keep things trimmed and under control generally.
Why should you shave, unless your boyfriend shaves for you, right?

I like a little patch. Consider something like that. Actually, the clean shaven area is smooth and velvety to the touch. Feels great.....!!!!

If you want to try the hairless experience, I'd get it waxed properly, the hair won't grow back as coarse. And only do things you are comfortable with.
