We can only hope. Unfortunately the loop-hole in the U. S. Constitution that gives an unfair advantage to religion is being used by religion to try to set up a Christian Theocracy, which would destroy that very document and lead to a protracted war to take the country back from there delusional control.

Im looking forward to the day that everyone is free of religious whackos. America, Iran, Israel, Lebanon etc....
I personally think that the world would be a better place without relgion or if everyone became buddhist (a religion you can actually learn something useful from).

We aren't controlled by religious whackos, it's the beauty of America. We can beleive in whatever we want, God, Allah, Buddha, the Goddess, etc.

If it was controlled by religious "wackos",you would already be dead for your opinion.Wackos can't be reasoned with,so therefore you would be pleading your case while the bullet was being lodged in your brain.We have wonderful freedom here in America.I suggest you start appreciating it.Something tells me you have no idea what real oppression is.

I agree. They are religious. And they are whackohs. But they are not Christians. They are ... actually ... from .... your ... side of the fence. People exactly like yourself. You ought to be very proud of yourself. As far as free? This country hasn't been free for well over a hundred years.

I honestly don't think that will ever happen. At least not in this lifetime or the next. Their control seems to be increasing, not decreasing.
