I live with my boyfriend, some days are good and some are BAD. I love him terribly and don't want to be without him....BUT.....I feel unappreciated! I am sexually frustrated! And tired of going between him and my family (Who, by the way, HATE HIM)! If he would just change a few things about him....he and I would be great! How do you get him to see that he really does need to change?

FYI....I have had to change a lot to fit into his world....and the only thing I am asking him to change is to show me he loves me! I fell in love with him for him, but after living with him...I can't tell if he loves me or not! And my family HATES everyone! Even me.

First, we all have bad days. Maybe your family hates him for a reason. Realize, you can't change a person that's unwilling and insincere. Maybe you're just scared to change, like most people. Maybe he's more like a habit that is unhealthy for your LIFE.

Maybe you all need space. I've been through the same thing and the outcome was, space. When you're under someone 24/7 you tend to get tired of them. I don't know if your tired of him, but it seems like his tired of you. How long have you been staying together? Talk to him and let him know how you feel. Give him a minute to see if he considers anything you told him, if not maybe it's time to hit the road. If your feeling unappreciated, there's 100 other guys out there who would appreciate you! I'm not saying just pack up and leave . . . but if you give him time and he doesn't change or even consider you, then maybe it is time to go. Think about what you want.

First of all ask yourself how long you have been with your boyfriend, if you are still in your 'honey moon' stage, things should be running smoothly, if you have been together for quite a while then it may be worth working things out. The way I see it, love should revolve around a great relationship where you are both willing to work at sorting things out. Also ask yourself why your family hates him, do they have a reason for it? I take it you don't have any kids yet - If you arn't happy, don't prolong your unhappiness, move on... the person of your dreams is out there, don't spend your life in a place or situation you don't want to be in. Good luck!

you can not change someone that does not want to chance, that is something that he will have to do on his own. Instead of tryin' to chance him talk with him and see what he has to say and how he feels and if you two do not have the same feelings then maybe you need to chance your thoughts of what you want and need in a boyfriend, and the other reason why you may be sexually frustrated is because he kows your love is not the same, talk with him. If you love him talk it may be the best thing you can every do to have your relationship and you two can grow more closer together and not apart.

I have been in your same exact situation. First off, girls are a lot different from guys when it comes to changing. We change because we want to be the perfect girl for them. Guys change only if they want to or they see what they are doing is wrong. It took me 4 years to actually realize I couldn't do it anymore. My parents, like yours said they hated him, but they hated everyone. What do your friends think of him? It may sound weird, but your friends, and I mean true friends, will give you the answers you need. If they say they don't like him and have ligitimate reasons, I would listen. You should try and talk to him, and don't rub it in his face that you've changed for him.

You can't change a leopards spots unfortunately. I don't understand why you are sexually frustrated if you live together. Maybe you just need a bit of time to yourself, i get annoyed if I'm around the same person all the time.

Well if you really love him why don't you change for him?
This is a stupid question, you want him to be who you think he should be so you will be happy and your family will like him. Well I can tell you that that isn't going to happen, and even if he does change for you he will resent you so much for it that the relationship will end anyways.

i don't know him or you so obviously i ain't takin sides but why would you be with him if you were gonna change him, if it's simple things then that's fine and more importantly i don't think you should have to change nething bout yo self and that thing bout yo parents i wouldn't even worry bout them if they hate errbody neways then there's really nothin you can do. Jus talk to him and see how it works out. Good luck!

You can't change a person's personality! You should either take him or leave him and family never likes their son/daughter's dating so this is your problem and you should talk to him about it and help him work on little things!!

That my friend is where your problem lies. There is no WAY to get him to see he needs to change.
Best you can hope for, is say what is on your mind, and hopefully he will take your request into consideration.
You should try to talk to him one on one, if that doesn't work what the $*$* u with him for in the first place?
