never heard of rational discrimination, but sounds like it is discrimination which can be justified rationally??
self-fulfilling prohecy is like you predict something then make it happen....
coalition building is bringing parties together to make a group which would then go on to govern. In a government sense, it would be the major party which didn't have a majority getting together with another party so that together they are in the majority.
What kind of question combines all these phrases?? where did you get this from...just a note, you are sure that the first phrase isn't racial discrimination?? 'cos that's a whole different kettle of fish.....
Hope this helps - you have some strange homework!!!

Correction to self-fulfilling prophecy:

It's not simply a prediction that comes true. It's a prediction that has an effect on its outcome. For example, say you're going to a family reunion for the holidays. You go in with a bad attitude, predicting that you'll have a miserable time. Considering that mindset, chances are you will be miserable. It's possible that it might have ended up better if you went in positive or even neutral, but because you thought you'd have a bad time, you ended up having a bad time.
