I was going out with my girlfriend for about 10 months. I was at college during the school year, but came home at least once every two weeks. Everything was good until out of nowhere, she tells me not to get mad at her if she starts acting differently. Her grandmother had just passed away, so I thought that was the reason, and I didn't think much of it. One time when I came home to see her, she was definately acting differently. She didn't want to sit right next to me, hold my hand, or anything like that. I just figured she might just need some space, so I didn't think much of it. Then when I came home for the summer, she basically avoided me. She would only call unless she was busy. It's like she was calling just to say she called...I hope that makes sense. Finally, I kept bugging her and eventually she tells me she just doesn't want to have boyfriend. All of this started after I loaned her a lot of money for a car. Do girls justs suddenly not want to have boyfriends? Is that normal?

Yeah you should never loan money to a girlfriend no matter how long you have been going out (at least a large sum of $) and I would just give her some more space especially if she was close to her grandmother. And if she told you she doesn’t want a boyfriend then talk to her about it and ask her. She probably needs a shoulder to cry on but doesn’t want to let her emotions out.
oh and make sure she pays you back
good luck!

Well you've answered your own question there-she started acting like that after you loaned her the money for the car. So she was fine up until she got the money. If i was you I'd make sure i got every penny back.

I don't think she used you just to get the money. She spent 10 months with you. I think she may have met someone else while you were away. I think she took advantage of you at the end. If this was a loan and you have proof of this I'd take her to claims court to get my money back.

seems 2 me u got used!!! Not 2 be nasty 2 her or anything but I think you should ask her for your money back or at least when is she planning on paying you back, and if she gets mad and say that she thought you gave it to her then you know that she used you and that is a lesson for you to learn
