there are others such as Chief Seattle, Chief Joseph, Tecumseh, Red Cloud, Sitting Bull and numerous others who have said the same basic thing. Very well said and hope when the time comes I can spend eternity on Turtle Island before the European " invasion " took place

I believe his criticism is justifed. That is exactly what happened... but not necessarily the churches fault. They came yes, and with their faith, but remember at the time there was a decided separation of Church and State. The church looked after religious matters... the ciriticism here lies at the door of the state (politics) side of the separation. It is however, very true that the church has not... and still does not always do its social responsibility in defending the weak...

you cannot force salvation on a person...Christ is a king not a beggar he stands and invites with open arms but he will not grab and force and he will not beg. These were catholic terrorist not missionaries
