will it even effect him. he says he cant go to sleep and thinks the weed will do that for him. but hes on morphine and other pain meds. is it alright and or will he even feel the effects. thanks.

Coming from the 70's.. go for it.. hahaha just kidding. But he is on enough meds, he don't need it.. besides, there is not enough hospital food to satisfy the munchies.

It may help him and it may not. You can't really say until he tries it. It does help some people with some kinds of pain, but it doesn't help other people with similar kinds of pain.
It certainly won't cause him any serious damage, even if he is taking other medications.
Edited to add: But the hospital probably won't allow him to smoke it.
