I am presuming of course that you have read it as you seem so confident in your knowledge of evolution as to be able to critisize it.

I do wonder however how many have rejected evolution without reading it, going only on what others have told them to believe.

And before anyone asks, yes I have studied the bible from cover to cover as well as the historical context surrounding it.

If they read it I'm assuming they would at least know the basics of evolution. Most of their arguments they present you learn in high school biology. I have read the Bible as wel. :) We are asking for too much I think, never going to happen.

No Neptunes, we have plenty of animal transitional fossils now, and now that we know that fossils only form under certain conditions.

1967 or 68 about...I also read The Voyage of The Beagle(a much better read). I was very much not a Christian at the time. I became of The True Christian Faith in 2000....
The Theory of Evolution is a valid tool for scientific study... but it is just a theory and will never be proven.

Throw out all of your "historical context" surounding The Bible. The Bible is not for the non-believer. I too had "read" in the Bible over the years. just to look into what those biblethummpers were into.... I knew even then that it was not written to be used by non-believers... I have not yet read through the entire Bible. It is a lifetime study to go through that work. I hope to have most of it done by the time my mortal life is over.

Only those open to the leading of The Holy Spirit will find, in The Bible, what God has for them.

What made you think they ever have? I'm an Atheist and I have read much about evolution but I have never found it necessary to read Darwin. I have read about Darwin but very few people have actually read Darwin. Darwin is so out of date not even evolutionist take it seriously any more only the basic concept. So you are an expert on the Bible. You have probably got every word out of context silly Atheist. xx

It was presented to me first in sixth or seventh grade. At that age, I found it incredibly boring.
However, I had this seriously good looking science teacher in the tenth grade.....

You are right, however, a great many Christians simply reject evolution out of hand, without ever reading the first word about it. They simply believe whatever the guy behind the pulpit tells them to...and that is very sad.
Personally, I don't really know whether I believe in evolution or not...all I know for sure is that God did it. In the final analysis, for me, that's all that really matters, anyhow.

I read it in college - 26 years ago.
Our belief systems are a matter of faith... Beyond my trust in God - I happen to believe that there is far more probablitiy of a Creator than all this by accident. It would be taking far too much for granted.

Micro- Evolution? Of Course - that is clearly evident. Macro-Evolution- from nothing into something?
That we have amazing bodies that live 80+ years and are nourished from our environment, that the Earth is just the right distance from the sun not to burn up or freeze, that our 20 mile thin protective layer protects us from the void of space, that we are more than bodies with no purpose - we have souls and minds that reason, speak and love - No.... this is the hand of a Creator - different than us, that we cannot comprehend, who is loving and the author of all things. And that we have purpose in Him.

Creator of science and all of the species as well.

I have certainly not learn Darwin. I have studied particularly a little approximately latest revised evolutionary technological know-how. But I feel Darwin's writing are out of date and of little significance now instead of as historic records. Why could any one wish to learn Darwin for evolutionary technological know-how? That's your obstacle with the Bible you studied a 2000 12 months historical out of date piece of drivel. It must heaved been revised alongside the way in which and taken as much as latest skills.

If you have read the "Origin of Species," then you should know that Darwin said on at least 7 occasions to ignore the evidence of the fossil record as a refutation of his concept of evolution or to "use imagination to fill its gaps." The record's leaps and bounds, he claimed, were the result of its being incomplete.

So why are their so many that still believe it. Faith?

There are those of us who have not completely rejected evolution, we reject the fact that thats how we came to be. I believe that our world is in a constant state of evolution, just not that we came from a single celled ameoba that eventually formed into hundreds of thousands of different species.

The bible is an easier read, not mention packed with more action than "Origin of Species".

That thing was a such a snoozer, they should market it to people with insomnia.
