What is MySpace?

Is myspace a bad thing. They say that a lot of people on there get "online rapped" how do you get "online rapped" ? That's so stupid. And the people that are stupid enought to tell the people where they live? Common sence people!! What do you all think of MySpace? Do you think it's wrong or the people that use it are just stupid a lot?

Well the people stupid enough to give away your address to annonymous people are just stupid. The number one rule on myspace never give your personal info to strangers.

At first i was like i wouldn't be caught died on Myspace. But after i graduated from high school i found out that all of my friend where on there. So i got on there to keep in touch with them. And i meet new and found old people from my neighborhood. And it is some people on there who are predators, but you just block the sick bastards and keep having fun. And don't give out to much information or your asking to be raped. But you can choose to set your profile as private. Where only people who really no you and your name can send you messages and view your profile. I have some friend on there who have pictures of there kids, dogs cars and even there house and i ask them why and they say because i want people to see where I'm from not thinking about how someone can use these picture to stoke or even kidnap there children. It's bad to say but everyone learns from there mistakes. You just be careful if your thinking about getting a Myspace account. Good Luck....

i think myspace is like anything else on the internet..it's a tool to use and stupid people will do stupid things, risk takers will push the limits to the extreme, but it's not the venue that is at fault, it's the people who are using it..and you hit the nail on the head when you said they have no common sense, especially the younger ones. and you can't get 'online raped' unless you are participating in it somehow, now can you? if you don't type or put your pic out there then you wouldn't be getting yourself into trouble

Myspace is a great site. But some people like to abuse their privlages. Online raped could mean that they met someone from online.
Most people that use it have enough common sense not to do stupid things but there is a few hand fulls that arent to smart....

Nothing is wrong about it. Its a good place to find old friends or family. the online rapped thing is ridiculous...i have never heard of something like that, i know that you may get rapped for your profile, and that is when they use the same things on theirs that you have on yours. but other than that....myspace is so ADDICTIVE!

don't worry about getting rapped over myspace unless you're posting private information about your location and junk. it's not like you'll go to other people's myspaces and tell them where you live. you just got to play it safe.

myspace is fun. it gives you an opportunity to talk with your friends and design your own website. though, it takes away your time since some people become "addicted" to it, might i say.

my space is hot!!!!! its very fun and you can meet back up with friens who you've lost contact with....the only bad experience that i've had is that myspace breaks up alot of relationships. but if you no that your love one is on a whole nother level and won't fall for that garbage then your good
